One October day, Grey was looking especially cute and I couldn't resist a little photoshoot. Love that baby face and legs!

October Happenings
I know this all sounds like a broken record, but I love all the firsts we're experiencing. We were finally able to take a baby to a pumpkin patch! What a fun day! We drove up to Burt's Pumpkin Patch in Dawsonville. Our little pumpkin was no match for those giant pumpkins!
Halloween was also a blast. I couldn't resist this turkey costume. Grey was SO cute in it. In mid-October we went to the Marietta Square and entered our little turkey in the costume contest. He placed 3rd! It was a lot of fun.

Grey's Baptism
On October 10, we had the honor of getting our sweet Grey baptised. He was such a cutie and managed an audible "awwww" from the congregation. We take so seriously covenant baptism. We are really committed to raising Grey to know the Lord and pray for his heart daily that he would come to salvation at an early age. After church, my parents graciously hosted lunch for the family at their house. It was a great day!

Thank FULL!
How could you not love that turkey face?!
I could never find the words to describe my overwhelming thankfulness for this new addition to our family! Grey has filled our hearts with such joy overflowing. He has also been such a symbol of God's unending love for us, answered prayer and Him blessing us above and beyond all we ever hoped and imagined! My heart is full.
To God be all the glory, honor and praise for this and all our MANY blessings!
I'm also missing my brother Jake this year. He's serving in the Army Infantry in Afghanistan. Do pray for him, his platoon and their families this holiday season. It really is hard to be away from family!
Praying you and your family take time to reflect on God's past faithfulness and give Him the praise due His name!
Happy Thanksgiving!

September Fun...
We love the fall! Thankfully, Grey absolutely loves to be outside! So, most days we're outside for some period of time. Here are some pictures of our September happenings...
We try to meet Curtis for lunch every now and then. This time, I packed up a picnic lunch, loaded up the baby and the dog and off we went to the park.
I love this little face he gives! "Who me?"
Lastly, my poor, sweet baby got a virus in September! Mainly, just a fever, stuffy nose and a bad horse cough. There is honestly nothing worse than watching your child miserably sick! Poor guy. He would bury his head in my neck and just sob. He felt terrible. ...and it lasted a full week. :( Of course there was nothing they could do for him. Thankfully, we're still breastfeeding so it never turned into anything worse and he rebounded quickly!

Ruth's First Birthday!
August 14 was Ruth's first birthday! Ruth is Grey's closest cousin -- just a mere 8 months apart. Funny story, we had just found out we were pregnant when Carrie (Curtis' sister) had Ruth. We didn't tell anyone because we didn't want to steal Ruth's thunder. Everyone at the hospital knew we were struggling with infertility and kept saying, "don't worry...you'll have one soon!" We would just say, "We know!" Fun secret!
Anyway, Ruth is a little miracle baby too! Short story is that she was born with a heart defect. After having a surgery around 6 months, she's as good as new!! Her party was super cute and a lot of fun! Carrie always does her parties up big and with no detail left unturned...the theme carries through everything!

Meeting Buzz!
As I've shared before, Curtis and I are a classic house divided. However, I've pretty much come to the conclusion that Grey will be a yellow jacket. After all, he adores his daddy and Curtis bleeds yellow and black. So, in August we went down to Family Day at Tech. It was actually a lot of fun. We got Grey's picture with Buzz and the Wramblin' Wreck, and saw all the players. Here are some pictures from the day...

3 Months
Boy, I'm saddened at how lax I've been with updating the blog. I have the best of intentions to sit down and update regularly, but life just gets in the way. The next few posts will be my attempt to catch everyone up with where we are now.
Here are some of Grey's three months shots. I am looking at these thinking "whose little baby is that?" because he's six months now! Time is really flying by...
Three months brought some fun stuff. At Grey's appointment he was 13 lbs (50th percentile) and 24 inches long (70th percentile). As you can see, Grey is a long boy. He grew out of his 3 month sleepers a long time ago and needs the 6 month sleepers for length. During his third month, Grey also moved out of our room into his own room overnight. Getting him to sleep through the night was a bit of a challenge. He did give us hope that it could happen after sleeping 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. a few nights in a row. However, those are still not super consistent. At three months, Grey really started smiling and talking all the time. He loves to lay under his playyard and talk to his cow with the mirror. Grey also adores reading. He sits so still and looks so intently at the books. I'm so thrilled! Another big first is that on my birthday, July 21st, Grey laughed out loud for the first time when I tickled him! It was TOO cute! His dark hair is nearly gone and covered by white, blond hair. It's just so sweet! Enjoy our cutie...
